Blake Downen picked up the win to improve to 6-0, allowing three hits and striking out seven for Dumas (15-4, 12-2 in 8-4A). Trey Winchester recorded the save finishing the final two outs.

Downen joined a quartet of Bobcats with multiple hits with two singles and a pair of RBIs. Matthew Miller, Ryan Miller and Jacob Bishop all singled twice.

The Bobcats will enter the 4A South Regional tournament next Friday in Star City as a No. 2 seed behind Hamburg, which downed Warren 11-1 to finish with an identical 12-2 conference mark. Hamburg earned the No. 1 seed by way of a tiebreaker.

Star City 10, Dollarway 0

At Taylor Field, Star City (15-8, 9-5 in 8-4A) finished its third-place run in the 8-4A by shutting out Dollarway in five innings.

Jake Carr, Slade Hawkins, Ryan Mills and Dagan Levengood each had two hits to lead Star City. Austin White struck out four and held Dollarway to two hits.

Sheridan 4, Pine Bluff 3

SHERIDAN — Sheridan toppled Pine Bluff on Thursday afternoon as the Zebras lost 4-3 in extra time.

The Yellowjackets netted the tying goal with 4 minutes left in the match on a direct kick then outscored the Z’s 4-3 in the shootout for the victory.

Lorenzo Williams scored two goals — his eighth and ninth of the season — for Pine Bluff while Trequis Sims added a goal for the Z’s. Williams, Zach O’Donohue and Broderick Bradley scored in the shootout frame.

Pine Bluff will host Little Rock J.A. Fair at 4 p.m. Monday.
