The UAPB Golden Lions have been ranked in the Boxtorow HBCU FCS Coaches and Media Poll.


Cedric Thomas’ team is coming off of a 53-13 victory over Langston, and have won back-to-back games for the first time since 2014.


UAPB is ranked No. 10 in the coaches poll after being unranked last week, and are ranked No. 7 in the media poll after being ranked No 10 last week.


The Golden Lions are one of eight teams from the SWAC represented in the rankings. Alcorn State, Southern, Prairie View A&M, Alabama A&M, Grambling, and Jackson State are also represented in at least one of the polls.


UAPB will travel to Nashville, Tenn. this Saturday to take on Tennessee State. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. CST.
